Country Resort

Introduction

Country Resort is an exclusive low-density development set amongst natural surroundings and with panoramic views of Mount Youtei.  Sited besides the Shiribetsu River and amongst native forested areas, Country Resort serves as a tranquil second home from which to enjoy snow sports in winter, and in summer, outdoor activities or simply relaxation.

Country Resort comprises 45 luxury chalets ranging in built area from 85 sqm to 300 sqm.  All chalets are double storied and sit upon large freehold blocks of land - 340 sqm to 1,290 sqm.  Most of the chalets have been purchased and were ready for the 2008 / 09 ski season.  However, a limited number of Country Resort chalets remain available for Japanese or international snow enthusiasts and investors.

Location

Country Resort is located on the outskirts of Hirafu Village, at the base of Mount Niseko-Annupuri.  The development is less than three kilometers from the Grand Hirafu snowfields and about 90 kilometers, or two hours drive, from the New Chitose international airport.

Country Resort's location serves as a convenient launching point to:

  • The Niseko United snowfields
  • Surrounding destinations such as Kutchan, Otaru fishing port and Sapporo

Design

The Country Resort chalets available for sale have all been designed by the well regarded architecture team at Toshikuukan Sekkei.  Toshikuukan Sekkei is an experienced commercial and residential designer and has previously won the prestigious Japanese ‘Home of the Year' award.

All of the Country Resort chalets are designed to maximize utility and the spectacular views of Mount Youtei, while maintaining the privacy of individual residents.  The chalets are simple, natural and understated, but incorporate traditional Japanese materials, design features and color schemes.   Each chalet has:

  • A large living area with spectacular natural views
  • An open-plan kitchen with modern appliances
  • Modern, ‘western' bathrooms / ensuites
  • Central heating with temperature control in each room
  • Laundry facilities and drying room for ski equipment

Construction

Country Resort chalets purchased in 2008 were built between April and November 2009 and were ready for the 2009 / 10 ski season. The builder is Niseko Resort Development & Construction, an experienced developer and project manager in the Niseko region. Country Resort chalets are backed by a 10 year statutory builders' guarantee. 

       

Facilities and Services

To promote the convenience and utility of Country Resort, Niseko Resorts Group have developed a leisure centre during 2009 which features a café and restaurant/function room.

The leisure centre also contains the concierge's office.  Concierge services will be available all year round, providing 24 hour assistance, including dining and entertainment bookings, travel services, shopping / provisioning and arranging ski passes, equipment hire and child-minding. 

A free shuttle-bus also transports Country Resort guests to and from Hirafu Village for skiing and to enjoy the dining and entertainment options.

  • Arranging landscaping if desired.  Landscaping packages are available upon request
  • Procuring complete furniture / white goods packages including a fully equipped kitchen
  • Arranging the licenses required to make a chalet available on the rental market
  • Rental services - chalet marketing and managing bookings
  • Maintenance services - payment of insurance premiums and property taxes, routine maintenance, cleaning, snow clearing etc.
